Are you a student/young creative with writing experience, with a good understanding of student life and your local community? We’re looking for student writers for the second issue of The Lookout, a termly magazine created by Co-op Insurance and Neighbourhood Watch to raise awareness of their new initiative ‘Student Watch’. They’re bringing groups of students together to discuss safety issues of students and how we can make actual tangible change to benefit students lives on campus and in the wider community.
In the last issue, we focused on student safety topics, such as ‘The Big Queer Night Out’ a guide on how to make the LGBTQ+ feel safe on a night out, but also how to feel comfortable on a night out as someone from the community. Another topic was how to tackle racism on campus. You can check out our last issue and our awesome student writershere.
Job description: Neighbourhood Watch and Co-op insurance want students who have a good understanding of life on campus, with some writing experience, to write for their second issue of their termly magazine ‘The Lookout’.
Topics are based around student safety, but we ultimately want you to have the confidence and creativity to pitch a topic about student life that you’d feel passionate writing about.
This campaign starts before Xmas and has a deadline of 4th January.
