DOCUMENTARY TALENT FUND – NETFLIX

Are you a film student or young creative trying to catch your break in the documentary making industry? Luckily for you, Netflix have recently launched their documentary talent fun, to ten aspiring filmmakers. If successful, you’ll be awarded between £20,000 and £40,000 each to make your ideas a reality. You’ll be given guidance by Netflix and external filmmaking professionals, to ensure that you get the most out of the experience. To apply, you’ll submit a short synopsis of your documentary idea. You’ll also be asked about how you’d go about making the doc. For example, who would be a part of your team etc. If you’re shortlisted, you’ll then submit a video and the top ideas will be chosen. WEBINAR: VIRTUAL CONVERSATION WITH DUNNIE WEST – DIDDY, REVOLT MEDIA & TV’S CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Dunnie West is the king of videography, working with stars such as Diddy, Meek Mill, Teyana Taylor, and the list goes on. KILLING IT COMPETITION: HARPER FICTION

Killing it is a competition to find undiscovered crime writers. All you need to do is submit the first 10,000 words of your crime/thriller novel, a short synopsis and a short paragraph about yourself, so the judges can get to know the author behind the concept. They’re heavily encouraging submissions from BAME individuals. If successful, you’ll get editorial mentoring , and editorial reports from HarperFiction crime editors for your manuscript. PAID APPRENTICESHIP: MULLENLOWE GROUP UK

MullenLowe Group UK is one of the UK’s top marketing, advertising and media agencies in the game. Their apprenticeship programme is offering eight people the chance to enter the industry, with opportunities in account management, strategy and media production.
