- Josh Akapo joins the BIMA 100 in the Rising Stars category
- This year’s 100 were selected by an independent panel of industry experts
The announcement was made at one of digital’s biggest nights of the year, held at London’s OXO Tower on 8 May.
Speaking about his nomination, Josh said: “Being honest I was very shocked when I found out I was being nominated for the BIMA100, let alone to find out I had been chosen for the list along with a lot of amazing names from the industry. Really thankful and I hope this is just the beginning of things like this!”
“Tonight is about celebrating the people who are the leading the industry right now,” explained BIMA Co-President Nat Gross. “It’s about the people we look up to, the visionary leaders and CEOs that can make our industry a better place. The people with the imagination, technical skill and creativity to take us forward; and the new talent that can keep our sector strong.
Founder of Hype Collective, Simon Lucey said “Josh has been fantastic since joining the organisation. He has launched our mentoring programme and helped grow the organisation well beyond his role. I’ve no doubt this is the start of big things for him and I can’t wait to see his career fly.”
Next year Hype Collective will be taking on more students to work alongside their degrees, either as youth marketing assistants, city managers or brand ambassadors. Keep an eye on our socials for more details.
