‘Parents As Influencers’ research: launch webinar

Parents As Influencers, our latest instalment of our The Issues research pieces, launches next week. In partnership with early careers network Springpod, we’re exploring how parents’ attitudes to the world of work differ from students and young people.

In this session we’ll be presenting the findings, hosting an exciting panel of university and college students to get their views on their parents’ influence, and hosting an employer panel – talking to careers experts from some of the UK’s biggest brands.

Panelists include:

Rebecca Carlton, Marks and Spencer. Rebecca works to develop their early careers offerings, and will give us insight into how brands can include parents in the career journeys of young people.

Steve Keith, The Branding Man. Steve is a passionate Diversity & Inclusion advocate, working to connect young people to careers. He’ll expand on some of his work with EY, and tell us why diversity is important in the early careers process.

Dan Doherty, Capgemini. He leads the early careers recruitment function. Dan has a story or two about the influence, perception and support a parent can have on their children before and during an apprentice recruitment process.

12:30 pm, Tuesday 14th July.
